2. AI-Generated Content Ownership
2.1 Platform Code and Infrastructure
All source code, infrastructure, and platform design of PromptedVisions are owned exclusively by Igor Hayfetz. This includes:
- Backend services and APIs
- Frontend application code
- AI model configurations and prompts
- Database schemas and architecture
Users may not:
- Copy, modify, or redistribute the platform code
- Reverse-engineer the AI models or algorithms
- Create derivative works based on the platform
- Use the platform to build competing services
2.2 AI-Generated Research Papers
Content generated by the AI system (research papers, hypotheses, analyses, figures) is subject to the following:
Platform Rights:
- PromptedVisions retains the right to store anonymized, non-identifiable examples for:
- Platform demonstration and marketing
- AI model improvement and training
- Academic research about AI systems
User Rights:
- Personal Use License: Users receive a personal, non-exclusive license to use, edit, and build upon AI-generated content for their own purposes

Important Limitations:
AI-generated content is not copyrightable under current U.S. copyright law (as AI lacks human authorship). However:
- Users who substantially edit or transform AI outputs may claim copyright over their contributions
- Users must ensure generated content doesn't infringe existing copyrights
- Users assume all liability for how they use and publish AI outputs
3. User-Uploaded Content
3.1 User Responsibilities
When uploading documents or providing input to the platform, users warrant that:
- They own the content or have permission to use it
- The content does not infringe on third-party copyrights
- They have the legal right to process the content through AI systems
- They comply with any licensing terms of uploaded materials
3.2 License Grant
By uploading content to PromptedVisions, users grant the platform a limited license to:
- Process the content through AI models
- Store the content temporarily for workflow execution
- Generate derivative research based on the input
Note: Uploaded documents are not shared with other users and are deleted after workflow completion or account termination.
4. Citation and Disclosure Requirements
4.1 Academic Publications
If publishing AI-generated content in academic journals or conferences, users must:
- Disclose AI use: Clearly state that content was generated using AI
- Follow journal policies: Comply with publisher guidelines on AI-generated content
- Verify citations: Ensure all cited sources are real and accurately referenced
- Human authorship: Do not claim sole human authorship of unmodified AI content

5. DMCA Compliance
5.1 DMCA Takedown Procedure
PromptedVisions complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice.
Requirements for a Valid DMCA Notice:
Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work: Description or URL of the original work
- Identification of infringing material: URL or description of the content on PromptedVisions
- Contact information: Name, address, email, phone number
- Good faith statement: Statement that you believe the use is unauthorized
- Accuracy statement: Statement that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized agent

5.2 Response to DMCA Notices
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Review: Verify the notice meets DMCA requirements
- Remove or disable: Expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
- Notify user: Inform the user who uploaded/generated the content
- Repeat infringer policy: Terminate accounts of repeat offenders
Response time: Typically within 5-7 business days
6. Counter-Notification Procedure
6.1 If You Believe Removal Was Improper
If your content was removed due to a DMCA takedown and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notification.
Requirements for a Valid Counter-Notification:
- Your contact information: Name, address, email, phone
- Identification of removed material: Description of the content and where it appeared
- Good faith statement: Statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification

6.2 Counter-Notification Process
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification:
- We will forward your counter-notification to the original complainant
- The complainant has 10-14 business days to file a lawsuit seeking a court order to keep the content down
- If no lawsuit is filed, we will restore the content within 10-14 business days
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
PromptedVisions maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. This includes:
- Three-strike policy: Accounts with three valid DMCA complaints will be permanently terminated
- Egregious violations: Accounts involved in large-scale copyright infringement may be terminated immediately
- No refunds: Terminated accounts forfeit all paid subscriptions and credits
8. Fair Use Considerations
We recognize that some uses of copyrighted material may qualify as fair use under U.S. copyright law. Fair use factors include:
- Purpose and character of use (transformative, educational, research)
- Nature of the copyrighted work
- Amount and substantiality used
